Only The Good CEI Young

Post by Frozen Stiffer »

Here's the unfortunate event:

Image

Now, were he some scrub, some future-less nobody, I would not mind one bit. However... here are the stats for the man in question:

AGE: 25
STU: 74
VEL: 76
CON: 72
END: 89
H/R: 90
POT: 67

He was 12-3 with a 2.62 ERA at the time of the injury. I mean really, why THIS guy?

...I admit that I thought about CTRL+ALT+DEL-ing myself out of that game so that the event was not finalized.

But...

...it wouldn't have been right.

Oh, man. That is heartbreaking. I laughed while reading the second post, though. After all, it's just a computer game...who'll ever know?? [:D]

What a tragedy.  I feel your pain, Frozen.  I had a similar situation quite a while back.  Same sort of numbers for the pitcher, Pitcher of the Year (my "Rick Vaughn Award") first year in the majors, number one with a bullet.  Then...first game of his second season, first batter he faced...CEI.  Apparently his neck gave out.  I wept bitter tears of remorse.
