I say again: Is everyone else as impressed by gallant Britains defense of her allies? [:-] [X(] . . . isn't it about time we banded together as a solidary Europe and ALL DoW England at once and unite in a concerted effort to prevent "Great" Britain from getting to 2000 points first?

For literally decades now, our cousins in the British Aristocracy have sat safely behind their "wooden walls" and the giant "moat" called the seas, manipulating affairs among us TRUE Europeans, and now they stand on the brink of a final and irrevocable imbalancing of power in Europe. If we do not openly and transparently unite to prevent this, and restore Europe to its rightful . . . uh . . . _balance_ all will be . . . uh? "lost?" [:D] . . . yeah; LOST. Game over. No more Another PBEM.

An open communique to Sweden and the International Community: We will accept immediate peace at zero cost to Sweden (we will return all provinces, and exact ZERO terms other than enforced peace, just surrender and we will make it so), and indeed agree to any reasonable terms Sweden asks for (RoP, share depots, a few royal marriages, lending (though not CEDING as Austria has asked in her response to our offer of alliance . . . silly wabbit) provinces, as much loan as we can possibly offer, etc.

The same offer of alliances and treaties that may be at some reasonable cost to Russia, but beneficial to all of you (except of course the Anglish) stands to ALL of Europe. If no one else will act in our Continents hour of need, then it falls to Mother Russia to step forward and make the sacrifice on behalf of the greater good.

All I ask is that everyone cease internecine fighting amongst themselves and focus their efforts on hurting Britain in anyway possible at least until her status (meaning Glory points) have been cut about in half. We can openly discuss specifics here in the forum. Russia has nothing to hide.

Mus (and for that matter EVERYONE!) just want to say: I LOVE YOU GUYS! You are a great bunch of players, and I really respect your abilities. If I come across in my semi-in-character rantings as getting personal, I just want to assure you, I'm not getting personal. Just trying to have fun, and keep it competitive right up to the end.

I would point out to my European cousins that Russia currently has a "victory score" of about 500, and is in fact at about the middle of the ladder.

I did not pay attention to where France is in the Events . . . certainly below Sweden . . .

Britain on the other hand had (last I looked) in excess of 1725 glory points _LESS THAN_ two-hundred and seventy-five (275) points to total and final victory (four to six turns??).

*now back Out of character* This match has had a good run, and I've had a blast stepping in and learning about the game and Russia by taking over from Jjdenver, so I don't want to suggest that I'd be upset if Mus wins and it is over in a shorter times span.

I had the impression some weeks ago that a few guys had grown a bit tired of it . . . we did have Prussia up around 1500 points at one point didn't we? Anyway, if guys really are kinda apathetic and would just like it to be over, then sitting back as Mus glides into victory no biggie.

But me, it has got more and more interesting as it has progressed, and indeed, the more tense competition as more nations edge up to clump higher toward the 2000 cutoff I think makes for a much more enjoyable game. Given that, I think the fun could keep going for a lot longer . . . but ONLY if we band together and KWUSH! Bwitain! [:D]

I am in character as well, but regardless, as some players have already been told, I will feel like I won this game through default if in fact I win. It won't be worth what it would be, although I suppose I would feel like I achieved something if everyone DID attack me right now and I still won.

Lenin would have already won this game without balance issues regarding insurrection and I would have helped him win (2nd Place for Britain is good I think, it is a weird choice who to support on the Continent and that person is likely to be the winner, IMO). People only started to learn how to partially defend against it after he had had his armies cut in half.

There are still major balance issues with insurrection as it is entirely luck dependent (or Kingmaker is CHEATING [:D]). With 70 legal score my diplomat has repeatedly failed some expel rolls and I have lost some territory to insurrection, while my 70 espionage/70 legal diplomat has been repeatedly expelled from Spanish territory by Spanish Diplomats with very low legal scores.

Hopefully this tactic is dumbed down in the patch, because this game has been severely damaged by it. From what I have read in the events report you can do everything right and the "attacking" diplomat still gets one shot at causing an insurrection before you make your expel roll.

What's up with European royalty always having sex with their cousins. Anyways... it isn't hard to generate Glory with half a million plus men and no moral compass. Just ask Napoleon.

If anyone like Austria thinks they can improve their standing in the final Glory rankings by alienating their allies and placing themselves between Russia and France... LOL.

Turkey and Spain are also not in a position to be comfortable with French/Russian Hegemony. The idea you wouldn't be next is naive in the extreme.

On generating glory: I honestly still have not figured it out for PBEMs. If you can offer any pointers, I appreciate it! [:D]
