Looks like your video RAM got some garbage in it.  Try quitting the game and restarting.  If that doesn't work, you might have to reboot.  I've never seen that sort of thing happen after a fresh boot.

See my thread in Tech support headed "Base mousing graphical glitch" dated 4.8.2009 ( or 8/4/2009 the wrong way round ) .

I had the same problem that has been cured by adding dd_def to the short cut command line. The other command line suggeations given with the first patch did not work on my system.

Should have looked at my command line first - I am currently using dd_hw to cure the graphics problem. If any further information wanted please advise.
