Borneo is more important but I have little means to defend it.

Taking Marcus destroys sqns there attacking Japan and forces Zamli to withdraw TFs and LCUs of other theaters.

A delay tactic that works [8D]

May 45 update

Zamli now attacks the oil fields in Java after his subs failed to bring the Jap reserves below 20,000 in the last years.

The landing at Surabaya failed to take the base. All Jap air attacks on the covering CVTFs failed but one.
20G4M made an OKHA attack, sinking the Lexington and damaging 2 other CVs. One CVTF down [:D]
An other CV was damaged by subs.

Philiphines taken, Taiwan as well. Kagoshima, Nagoya, Hiroshima in posession of Americans but still with Japs there. 02.1946. Have learned the hard way what is the Japanese score multiplier..... :(
220k vs 180k and I doubt I will be able to finish this and achieve 2:1.

When the game ends? 1 Dec 46?
Can't run atomic-bombs vs jap cities. why? (have planes assigned to missions, half range and still unsuccessful :( )

For shame, gentlemen. No update from May 1945 to Feb. 1946!

Atomic bombs are random things. The planes are probably refusing to fly because the game has determined there are no bombs available. (IRL, after Nagasaki we were temporarily out of nukes.)

There are two things that might turn it around. First is the capture of Tokyo, which is worth 20,000 bonus Victory Points to the Allies. Second, if you reduce the points for Japanese Production below 500, the VP multiplier disappears. More details can be found by reading the "Data Card", which you can find at:

Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

Sorry about not performing on the information front [&o]

There was not much to report.
The Japs are low on ac therefore not much action there.
Only one very successfull ac action occured when several US BBTF tried to support taking Haipong without CV cover.
Hundrets of OKHAs attacked and sunk 20 ships most DD, some CA and BCs [:D]

March46
2 more bases in Japan taken by US forces, production down to 600.
Right now the Japs have about 155000 kill point, which will be reduced once the multiplier is down.
Still all bases in India and most of China are in Jap hands.

This is it.
I had two moments that I wanted to resign - the first after huge losses at Philiphines and second when the kill multiplier kicked.
Now I see that it was nothing to be afraid of. My patience paid of, and I have learned a lot thanx to zeke and finally I have seen this game to the end for the very first time :)

Re the ship losses:

Now *that* is a bloodbath! Especially, the Allied CVE and submarine losses were horrific.
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

Nice job playing the game out to the end. I agree, the 46 kill multiplier can make you want to throw in the towel

Submarine losses were due to a bug. I have removed them from Japan completly. Yet computer saw them as present and killed absent submarines every turn.

CVE's....... Philiphines - this is where I learned the hard way how to make an invasion. Besides I have always neglected use of CVE. Later on I have learned how important they are! They were actually the means of final success.
