mouse problems

Post by pilo »

Hi.

I got this mouse problem. I'm using windows 2000. When i start the game and main menu opens, my mouse pointer only moves on a small area in the top left corner of the screen. So i can't reach any
options on the menu nor basically do anything. I just have to alt-tab and close the game to get out of it. Help would be appreciated.

Make sure nothing else is running in the background. Run the game directly by bypassing the autorun menu by editing the shortcut to point to this file C:\MatrixGames\Steel Panthers World at War\mech.exe. Delete these files if you have them steel.prf and holdert.txt located in this directory C:\MatrixGames\Steel Panthers World at War\save then restart the game. Try running DXdiag to make sure you don't have any problems with you video card and sound card DirectX files. Also update the game to 7.1 by downloadng the upgrade from the main download page. When installing, during the path verification check remove the space between Matrix Games(MatrixGames) or the patch won't be applied properly. Also make sure your mouse driver is the most up to date.
