I do have some relatively good news.  I've been selected for LTC, which really doesn't mean much.  I can get promoted once I move into an LTC slot.  But, I've got time in grade and military and civilian education all complete so I'd get promoted once I moved into an LTC slot anyway.  Gotta love the military way. [:D]

Yeah, I am. I'll also stay in at least until June 2010. (That'll give me 22 years.) If I get promoted before that, I'll stay in for 3 years to retire at that rank. Either way, I'm looking for a civilian job so I can stop wearing this uniform every day.

I haven't checked any maps yet , but as I recall SAC chose that as it's headquarters as it's the furthest place from water in the USA? I thought Millington Tenn was a strange place to send a sailor? [&:]

From what I've been able to find, it has hot summers, cold winters and very little open water (aside from a river, no sailing there). [:(]

LTC is about it for 2 reasons. First, the politics for COL are far beyond my tastes and second, I don't want to stay in much longer.

Someone has to be. I grew up there so it was either them or the place I was born, Plymouth Argyle. At least if I was an Argyle fan I'd have a decent ringtone for my phone [:)]
