Poll: "What is it you like the most about CoG:EE"?

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

Poll: "What is it you like the most about CoG:EE"?

Post by Marshal Villars »

I am curious about the following:

1) What it is about CoG:EE which drew you to it?

2) What have your favorite surprises been in terms of the mechanics?

3) What would be your top 2 recommendations for change be?

My answers are:
1) The beautiful map. The multiplayer PBEM ability with one go around per turn (i.e. there was no complicated multi-phase solution for each turn of game play). The incredible treaty system.

2) The unit ability upgrades (being able to spend experience points to buy special abilities for each unit)--I have absolutely fallen in love with this system. The fact that Poland, Sweden, and Denmark are playable factions in the 1792 scenario. The incedible (and groundbreaking) advancements system. These things and more have turned this into my favorite Napoleonic wargame of all time. PBEM is unbeatable--especially with a few house rules thrown in for added realism!

3) An optional, more advanced naval system. Dealing with the PBEM quick surrender issue.
