Sound effects volume is not saved

Post by EagleMountainDK »

I really h... the click sound so I went to the "Eagle Day -> Options" and setting it to 20. When I get to the Select Campaign the sound is again 100.

I have installed my game at my normal game drive, D:\Games\Matrix Games\Gary Grigsby's Eagle Day to the Bombing of the Reich

It seems that the other settings isn't saved to and I have just tried BTR and its the same.

Cougar, if you want the clicks gone, but want to hear the other sound FX, you can go to your game *BTR Folder*\DAT\sound   folder and delete the files. They are click 1-5.  Game runs just fine without 'em.

For whatever reason they were exponentially louder than combat SFX, so I tried that, and also made a set of reduced volume files. Without doing that, if I had the volume up to hear the combat, the clicks were ear shattering. [X(]

Have you considered sharing these files in the mod section? I would like to try them out.

Sure thing, they're available in there now.

Yeah, the original never saved it either. I will put it on the to-do-list to save the "default" preferences separate from the player preferences.
