laptop?

Post by freeboy »

My demo ran ok
Then 1.6 seemed to open pandoras box
The game is unstable with multiple ctd
Then I get weird graphics issues
Now with 1.6 the plans do not fly missions
The 1.5 hotfix will not even load a game up..
Is there a video chipset issue with Sony vio laptops?
I am running Vista
have tons of memory
4 gb big hd
64 bit system
service pack one
Not truly upset, just being defeated in the battle to install is frustrating after about 10 hours!
I tried to run a dxdiag but there is nowhere that I find the old run command!

Try to install the newest graphic card drivers (either from graphic card or laptop producer) and latest DirectX. You can also try to run game with administrator priviliges. Many users are successfully using laptops to play ToW, it's compatible with wide range of hardware, we can assume it's problem with drivers or installed programs. Check if turning off antivirus and similar software while running ToW helps.

Random CTDs are difficult to eliminate and are often caused by independent factors.
