Level bomber range listings

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Level bomber range listings

Post by Baron von Beer »

Bit confused on these. Most aircraft have a combat/real radius, or an escort/real radius. Level bombers however, have "Combat", "Extended", and "Real". Combat and extended each appear beneath a given bomb load out, so I would assume those are the radius at which they carry that load?

However, I'm finding quite a few where the extended raius is less than the "Combat" radius. [&:] Many more it is ~20 or so miles greater, with a fractional bomb load.

One example, B-24D Liberator. 1042 mile radius with 6,600lbs of bombs, 1040 mile "extended" radius with 1,200lbs.
