PBEM once in a while report - Noumea falls 71,000 allied troops bagged

PBEM STOCK, 14/7/43 Noumea falls after about a 4 month seige and two relief attempts.The allies continue to press forwards out of Darwin under massive 4E LBA cover , which must now be stopped!

Critical losses so far - Japs 1 BB , allies 5CV 2CVE 5BB

Ground combat at Noumea

Japanese Deliberate attack

Attacking force 173343 troops, 1246 guns, 140 vehicles, Assault Value = 2545

Defending force 58863 troops, 336 guns, 136 vehicles, Assault Value = 1023

Japanese max assault: 2153 - adjusted assault: 3218

Allied max defense: 694 - adjusted defense: 961

Japanese assault odds: 3 to 1 (fort level 1)

Japanese forces CAPTURE Noumea base !!!

This game started May 42 , we do about one turn a day sometimes 2 or 3

The more turns you do the quicker each one is as you can remember what you were doing from before

No but I guess one will be made

Problem is setting up historical start lines I think , the WITP one had silly start lines but they do not matter after a week or so , its May 42 onwards , thing start to get interesting for both players.

Indeed, I'm on Jan 15th 1942 on my first campaign!
We are in late June 42. We re-started after reaching March of 42.
