Commanders, Leadership & Inspiration

The manual is rather sketchy on some newly introduced features.

I am very confused on how Commanders influence the performance of the air units.

How do their Leadership and Inspiration ratings affect the performance of my planes?

Any insights?

Sorry, Terry, we weren't ignoring you, it's just been a busy 2 weeks...

Leadership governs the rate that pilots gain experience - a great leader boosts the XP gain of your pilots.

Inspiration gives your leaders a better ability to rally the pilots when morale is low.

So as commanders are important for the units, do their internal values change over the course of the scenario with Leadership experience?

Harley, is there any possibility that in one of the following patches will be allowed to change the commander (as in WITP)?

I don't think so, they are not in the data base the same way they are in WitP

in ours, they are linked to the units, and later on, will come up from inside of the unit

in WitP they are just a leader data base (that is why sometimes you get a transport leader in charge of a fighter group)
