How to take screenshots?

I am hitting print screen but cannot find any of the screenies anywhere.

I am on Vista any help would be appreciated.

2 ways:
1) use screen Hunter or similar (free) screen capture program
2) after hitting the key "print screen" open your paint program and paste (CTRL + V) the image. Then save it in JPEG.

Thanks, You sort of answered my question. I have screen hunter and the F6 hot key is causing the program to crash. By hitting the print screen key instead will that help?
