FLAK vs Luftwaffe

Would it be possible to tone down the friendly fire results by FLAK? Or at least an explanation of why 1-2% of Luftwaffe sorties are getting hit? Just saw a Gruppe get hit 3 times by FLAK while landing at it's own base! Now granted this kind of stuff did happen, but not to this degree in 1943 and 1944. In 1945 when nearly everything flying was Allied it's a bit more understandable.

it already was worked on, and it was a major issue, planes even firing off landing flares were shot at and hit

Okay, I'll but it a bit more bluntly [:)]

Let's discuss *facts*. Please cite the historical records where 20-40 Luftwaffe planes were hit by flak day after day, week after week. I'm sure you have as many unit histories and other detailed sources as I do - maybe more - and the game results are just too extreme. Not every day was a Bodenplatte disaster.

I only see this happen if I use A/Fs with many balloons around

Playing the Big Week scenario, and most of the losses are in NW Germany and the Ruhr. When the LW comes up strong and passes over these areas (not just airfield AAA), they take quite a knockin'.
