Loss of Experience

Post by P.Hausser »

I'm seeing multiple pilots loose Experience, how do I "combat" this problem ?

I'm only a month into the war, and have formed 10 Bomber Training Squadrons and 10 Fighter Training Squadrons.

In the large Bomber Training Squadrons I have a group size of (90) Bombers but currently due to lack of aircraft only have 25-60 Bombers in them, and also I have over 95 Pilots in each of those Large Navel Bomber Training Squadrons. I am then observing that while some of those Pilots are gaining Skill+Experiences, some other members in the very same squadron are dropping in experience.

For my Level Bomber Training Squadrons (who are smaller, around 13 planes and 15-17 pilots in each) I see the majority gaining Skill+Experience.

In my Marine Fighter Squadron (Group size 90, with 105 Pilots and 7 planes) the majority are dropping in Experience.

The squadron's experience will drop when you add a new pilot who's experience is below the average of the squadron.

Of coerce, but the Individual pilots experience is dropping.

Ie. I have Several Pilots who had 53, 55 and 57 experience at December 7th who now have 50, 54 and 56 in experience.
Not talking squadrons here, but individual named pilots.

Well, there's your answer. [:D]

You mention December 7th, did those pilots start a game already assigned to some squadron? If they did, then did you disband them into reserve pool before pulling them into training squadrons? If the answer is yes again, then they have taken experience hit of about 10% when they transferred from squadron to reserve pool. That is WAD for now, but it might be changed in patch 2.

It kinda makes sense. 105 pilots for 7 planes doesn't leave much individual flying time. Skills tend to erode quickly.

I welcome the mechanics if this is working as intended.
I had resized some groups, and filled them up with max amount of pilots.

I now notice all across the board that the ones who has very few aircraft distributed on very many pilots, the pilots lose in experience (as pr above screanshot).

Having convinced my self that this is working as intended, then this leads me to asking "what are the parameters" for this, as in at what rate, and situation, max and min levels ect ?

I don't know if it's working as intended but AE does have a lot of things going on under the hood. Who knows? [;)]

Pilots can lose an EXP point if their plane is damage or lost due to an operational loss.
