Malaya
All forces which will cross the creek are heading for Jahore and should be there next turn. Malcca has made level-5 and we will continue to level-6. Bombing of Singapore is continuing with slight results and a seemingly obligatory loss of 1xSally per day.

Palembang
The bulk of the combat elements of 124 Regiment have landed, now we need to bring over the support elements, then we can try another attack. The BB group and our second CL/DD group have rearmed at CRB and are heading back to the area.

Luzon
One of our engineer units at Clark has gotten a bit beat up by the repeated Allied attacks so we will pull it back to Lingayen. We are starting to alert the 20ID in Korea for movement to Luzon to beef up our defense.

China
We will try another attack at Nanyang.

Timor
On Timor, Nik took Dili this turn.

Sumatra
I've been traveling again, so Nik had to do both his and my part of the turn, I always have my "best" luck when this is the case. At Palembang, we ran in the support elements of the 124 Regt with a CL/DD force and four days of USN carrier strikes pounded our surface forces, we lost 2xCL. But, we got all the troops ashore, so we will try a full attack this turn.

Malaya
The creek crossing force is fully assembled at Jahore, we will probably cross the creek very soon.

Burma
The 38ID is on the rail heading for Rahaeng and will be joining the 33ID and 55ID in Burma shortly. It looks like the Allies are buggin' out. We did not succeed in negotiating a house rule regardling the installations in Burma so we expect full destruction of everything.

China
We did take Nanyang, now on to Loyang to the NE.

Philippines
The Allies seemed to have air dropped a division at Lingayen to try to cut off our front line, but we seem to have the situation under control. Also, the Allied shock attacks at Clark have stopped, not sure why. Since the P40s are still flying I assume it is not supply (yet).

Sumatra
We finally managed to take Palembang. The infusion of the fresh 124 Regt made the attack an anti-climax. Now to complete the "mop up" of Southern Sumatra and prepare for landings in Western Java.

Malaya
25 Army has started walking towards the creek.

Burma
Allies evacuated Rangoon so it should fall this turn. The installations are all about 95% damaged by partisans.

China
Looks like the Chinese are reinforcing their troops at Hankow, but we will still try to knock out the Chinese forces around Loyang before returning to fight around Hankow.

Philippines
We are sending elements of the 20ID to reinforce our position on Luzon, hopefully this will be enough to hold a beach head.

Loyang Campaign
Following the fall of Nanyang, the plan is to leave the 116 and 2 Arty units behind in Nanyang and sweep North with the bulk of 12 Army. The 110ID from 1 Army will join up with 12 Army for the push into Loyang. About half (or more) of the Chinese units in Loyang have been retreated recently, so they will have extra low moral and will be low on support as well. If we can capture Loyang, then we should be able to combine forces with 1 Army and take Chengchow (1 hex SE of Loyang).

The combined effects of taking Nanyang, Loyang and Chengchow and defeating the roughly 50 Chinese units which have been in this area, will be that these 50 units will be effectively knocked out for several months, while they rebuild, and this will remove the Chinese ability to attack. We should then be able to consolidate our position in both the Northern and Southern sectors. We are assisted in our efforts to date, by the significant lack of activity on the part of the Chinese. Were they playing an "active" defense/offsense" we would be unable to accomplish our plan. But from where things sit now, it looks like we might be able to be successful.

Malaya
Our big mob is switching to Combat mode this turn as they closely approach the creek crossing into Singapore. If they manage to move 8 miles per day, then we should cross the creek on day 2 of this next turn. We will shift our priority for Sally bombing from the port to the ground troops and drop the altitude from 15,000 to 12,000 as we did not take any flak losses last turn. Bombing the port must have supressed just enough flak guns to give us a chance of avoiding losses.

Sumatra
124 Regt is rolling South towards "Ost". We battled the Dutch and Brits and took the base one hex SW of Palembang. We are flying in aviation troops and engineers to get the airfield up and running. We have moved two Oscar Chutai to Palembang from Malaya.

Burma
Rangoon fell. The 38ID should arrive vic Rahaeng within the week.

China
12 Army rolling for Loyang. We are pulling three artillery unit out of the line for Shipment to Luzon.

Indo China
Chinese planes started bombing Haiphong this turn. Haiphong is one of our three primary sources for resources and hence one of the most important ports on the map. We flew in the Tojo experimental unit which had been training up at Canton since the start of the game. But if the Allies will start bombing Haiphong this will cause some rethink regarding Southern China strategy.

Maybe your just being out generaled?[:)] I took the place in January...As I posted earlier - the entirety of the Phillippines were conquered early on. Przemek tried to defend at the coast with some units and this may have cost him. In addition he opted to defend Manila instead of Bataan. My conquest of Luzon was accomplished using the 4th ID, 48th ID, 16th ID, 65th IMB. Plus the 38th ID after the occupation of Hong Kong in the first week. In addition much of the artillery from Pescadores and HK were also brought in.

Singapore fell around Day 70...and Java is on the brink (everything but Batavia is mine and it will be soon (currently turn 84)). Burma will prove to be the real challenge as Przemek seems to have brought the entire extended family to Burma for the reunion....but I have some plans up my sleeves to make him pay for that choice.

Port Moresby will also be a tough nut to crack...and my campaign there won't start in earnest until I have my airbase chain on the north coast of NG up and running (which should be next turn). Aircraft in the South Pacific can't be upgraded until this chain is complete.

We crossed the creek into Singapore with 25 Army, 5 Division equivalents plus supporting arms. The 18ID got messed up pretty badly, but the other units are in decent shape. Now the battle for Singapore will begin. Strangely, we are on almost exactly a historical timetable right now. We will see if this continues. The Allied troupage in Singapore is a bit less than historical, below appears the troop list for both sides.

Sumatra
The 124 Regt continues South towards "Ost". We just landed the 7th Tank Regt, so he will head South as well. In addition to the two Oscar Chutai we have covering Palembang, we have flown in a Dinah unit to start recon against Batavia and a Zero Chutai will fly a sweep.

Luzon
78 Regiment, leading element of 20ID landed at Aparri and will start heading South to reinforce our line.

China
The Chinese attacked at Hankow this turn, but had no better luck than we had/had attacking them. Looks like a typical stalemate here. Meanwhile, our drive on Loyang continues, with the 110ID now having joined the 12 Army.

Timor
Nik ended the Timor operation by taking Koepang. I was worried about this one as the Allies had reinforced Koepang, but Nik made it look easy, so now we can all wonder what is next for Nik's wrecking machine! [:D]
