Game lockup executable error call microsoft

Post by stldiver »

Hi,

I am playing scott in a PBEM about two weeks ago game time we had a japanese submarine attack an allied ship off palmyra, the game locked up after 1st torpedo hit. I reboot and it ran fine after. Scott ran his (allied) turn and the same thing happened. Fixed it the same way. We reported but didn't send turn.

Today I had the same thing happen, but reboot did not fix. A dutch sub torpedoed a CL off Java and the game locks up after 1st torpedo hit. If I waited long enough after lockup, screen goes black it will pop up Witp executable error call Microsoft.

Could you look at this file and see if anythings wrong.

Thanks
Tim

Will look at it and try to reproduce the lock up.

Even with stock, there has been the reported situations where saving in an existing slot sometimes causes problems when it is reloaded. Not always, but just sometimes.

I can't think of any reason, unless some error happens when writing to the file that leaves the old data "visible" to the file.
With patch 02, I will be deleting the old save before it records the new one.

This might not be the cause, but it is a simple change and it can't hurt.

We have a lock up again. Here is the file.

Once again its on a submarine attack and locks up after first torpedo hit, then exits out of the game and asks if I want to send report to microsoft.

I am Japan

Edit : Tried "michaelm" suggestion above and got it working. I also fast clicked done as soon as screen showed up and combat report shows sub and talks about diving but does not go into the shot. In results area it shows the APD being sunk so I know the action took place.

Still would like this check on, Thanks michaelm for the suggestion.
