When something goes negative it would be nice to know where (location/base names).

Example: Light Industry shows Red (Not building (40)), is there a way to find out what location(s) are causing this?

I know how to find this info in game, just not in WitpTracker!

Installed 1.1

I have installed the C++ file

I have updated to the latest greatest version of JRE.

Yet I cannot load any turns beyond the first...

Game was started with release and hotfixed, then patched and hot fixed....

Is there an issue with older turns on older versions of the game being loaded vs newer turns with the latest exe?

You must be running from the jar and not the bat. WitPTracker needs more memory than the default to load a turn. The bat file puts the proper memory settings.

Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

Unfortunately then it is similar to the problem I have with witpStaff... I'm running 64bit Vista and cannot start either program with the .bat. For staff I can run the program with the .jar.

This is what I see when starting with bat...

Damian had some notes on getting this to work for 64-bit Vista. They are somewhere in this thread, if you look back.
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

Treespider - I've got to rush out soon for work unfortunately, but if you pm me your email, I'll give you something else to try later, can't guarantee anything, but you'll have to go back(uninstall 32 bit) to the 64AMD microsoft patch.

You need separate Tracker installations for each game ... just make another folder.

Feature Request

Post by Graymane »

Hi again! I am back with some more request =)

I work in the transportation industry for a large railroad. Internally, they measure their performance with 3 major indicators. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how these translate into the shipping industry, but i'm sure they do. These measures would apply to supply/fuel/oil/resource fleets and ship types (basically AK and TK flavors).
  • System Velocity - Average Train Speed. In game terms, average cargo/tanker task force speed.
  • System Dwell - How many railcars are sitting around in a yard doing nothing? How many AK/TK are sitting around in a port doing nothing?
  • Carloads - How many railcars are loaded each day? How many AK/TK are loaded each day?

I'd probably add a factor into each of those to compare to the totals. How many total AK/TK will tell you how many total carloads are possible and what the dwell is as a percentage of the total fleet. You might want to factor in ships in service versus out-of-service (repairs, upgrades, non-transport TFs like Escort TF, etc).

Thanks,
Dan

Also, it would be nice to have a Ship csv export as well.

Base definition file Pronlems

I checked the list of bases for NZ and found two Stewart Is. THere is two in the game, NZ and the Solomons. I tried to transfer the correct one to the Solomons and it appeared to do that OK but when I check the Oil/Res on the Industry panel the other Stewart Is is still there. I can't check to see if it's listed under Solomon Is as there is no Solomon Is in this list.

I then tried to create a new region with the intention on trasferring the base assigned to the old one and then deleting it. Although Ii appears that I can create the the region I the following Java error code that was generated during the process of creating the region.

Isert Error Code = -104
Table=Regions Values=(43, 'Solomon Is')

Any base I transfer to it appears as Australia.

I'll look at it tonight.

Edit: Drat - the region file Nomad created leaves gaps in the region numbers and that confuses my too-simple algorithm for finding the next available region ID. I put in a proper function. For now, you can just edit the region file and add Solomon Is (with a good region ID) to the correct Stewart Is and then import it.

Back from the drawing board, 10 days ago ... still working on this conversion stuff. Hoping once the filters are used the Parent (ship), will show the relevant Conversion data in there, without having to look in the tree.
Also the bottom (Details) display will show current class on the left and conversion class on the right, to give added details... or do you guys want the important stuff in the table (cargo/troops/oil/fuel) ?

I can fix the file to have no missing region numbers if you need.
