Where is the tutorial guide?

Post by nukkxx5058 »

Hi, just bought and downloaded the game.

In the manual I can read:

"in addition to this manual, the player will find a separate Tutorial Guide that provides a step-by-step experience that touches on the major aspects of War in the Pacific, Admiral’s Edition™"

Where can I find this guide? it's not in the manuals directory
Thanks

The tutorial had been written using an early beta version of the game and did not coincide with the released version of the game. So a decision was made to remove the tutorial. However the removal occurred after the release version had gone to press. So unfortunately there were still references to it in the printed manual.

So given this is an absolute monster game, I have no idea how to start to play. Will have to read the 300 pages manual ... :-(

Start out with the Coral Sea scenario, play that a few times.

Work on the first turn on the grand campaign, once you think you have all your moves down pat save it, run that turn save it in another slot. Play the game for a month or so of game time, go back to your first turn save and adjust the things you missed and apply the lessons you learned. Do this a number of times and you will be okay. Starting with the Allies is probably as little more forgiving. Though expect to make a lot of mistakes the first couple of times you play.

In a full map, long campaign, I'd strongly recommend playing the Allies the first time.

Ya start as allies for sure as the japanese are a bit more challenging to play,
get your feet wet and then play pbm and you will get all your answers thru a good player..[:D]

Guys,
no offence intended but play the smaller scenarios, the best way to learn is by doing this NOT reading about this, making mistakes and replaying turns & reading the manual /forums---   rather than a tutorial.
