1084 Scenario 2 "Invasion" of Tacoma, WA

I decided to try Scenario 2 (lots more surprises for the Allies and supplies for the Japanese)..........and believe it or not, I am into the Fall of 1942 already.

However, o/a 3 September 1942 there was a Japanese force that landed at Tacoma, WA. I hope that it did not wake the dreaded "sleeping bear" or whatever by stepping foot on the West Coast of the United States.

Trouble is that I did not send an invasion force to Tacoma.

It consisted of an unnamed unit around 7,000 strong with "Staff Officer" in command.

No ships involved, just ground forces.

Anybody else come across this phantom invasion? I did save the file in slot 22 just in case.

Post that save and I'll take a look. Would be best if you had just before and just after the land unit appeared.

I did not expect it so I only have an immediately after save. I also just encountered a pair of Japanese task forces that were ordered to pick up Australian units at Port Moresby. Now I call that indirect warfare!

I think we did find a issue with AI generated pickup orders where if failed to check nationality. I'll make sure of it.

The insidious Japanese plan to take Port Moresby by evacuating the Australian garrison to Truk (methinks)

And if you can find out where the Japanese 38th Division headquarters disappeared to (not the huge leaderless chunk stuck in Davao) I would be much obliged.
