Eastern Front in BTR?

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Eastern Front in BTR?

Post by Nicholas Bell »

I see no mention of any advancing Soviet front in the manual, and it will be a long time before I can see for myself. In GG's old USAAF the Soviet front line advanced and took out the Romanian oil fields on Sept 1st, 1944 along with some of Yugoslavia and Eastern Poland. This was a reasonable approximation given the computing capability in 1986 - The Soviets crushed the German 6th Army and the Romanians switched sides in August 1944.

So does something like this occur in BTR?

I didn't get that far in the old game (or the new yet [;)]) but I definately remeber people talking about weather it was better to bomb Romainia's oil fileds or just leave them for the soviets, so I'm pretty sure its included, not sure how it would look though.
I'm pretty sure you don't see Germany infantry units in the east, just a roll back of their facilities, but I'm merely guessing at that.

Well, as the game goes on you'll find that the vast majority of your actual industry damage points come from the Soviets and Western Allies taking over plants that you went to some pains to bomb. It all happens on an historical timeline.

Thanks for the confirmation.  Strange it isn't mentioned in the manual.  Hopefully someday I'll see it with my own eyes!  [:D]
