Losing Sound During Battle

I have been playing a couple of multiplayer campaigns on line. Each player has the 4.507 patch. When the other person hosts, at some point after several battles (it varies between 3 all the way up to maybe 10) I will lose sound during the battle. Though, when I host I have never experienced losing sound during the battle, but I know the other person has.

has anyone else experienced this problem?

this works for me when losing sound:
click "options" on battlescreen
click "general" tab
click to uncheck the "enable sound" box
then
go back and click the "enable sound" again

I had this problem when I first got the game and it happened quite frequently but for some reason hasnt been an issue for quite awhile.

Make sure you running the latest usual suspects;sound card/chip drivers and Direct-X.

For the sound card drivers you will have to look around. If a sound card check the manufactures web site. If it is a chip on your motherboard it will be either the companies web site for the name of your computer (Dell, HP, etc.) or the motherboard manufactures web site that you will have to find.

Also there was a report of sound not returning after a pause (F3) and the  mouse click to resume... could this be the case?
