Mission Level Ques

Post by jackyo123 »

question re: mission assignments -

if, suppose, I choose a 'naval' mission for my dive bombers, and then manually set their levels to ASW10, Search 50, Rest 40 -

are there then no planes available to actually conduct a naval strike? Or do the search planes go into 'strike' mode when an enemy tf is detected within range?

thanks

You have no planes to make coordinated air attacks with those settings. Search planes will sometimes (most times) drop a bomb on the sighted ships (if they are uncovered) but in their own (single plane)

I suggest testing it to see what results you would get. Once you make contact, rerun the previous day's saved turn several times with different settings to see how varied the results would be.
