possible dumb ques

Post by jackyo123 »

i just noticed that some of the base icons have different colors for the units, task forces, etc - green, blue, etc.

cant find anything in the manual about that - what do the diff colored icons mean? like one of my engineer units is blue i think, but another is green.

thnx

the different colours would be an indicator of that units nationality. Like, American British, Dutch, Australian...etc.

The colors are the nationalities.  There are also alternate icon sets in the Art folder if they strike your fancy.

NZ = dark blue
French - light blue
Aus - forest green
Commonwealth - tan
Chinese - yellow
Russian - sort of a faded red
Japanese - blood red
Dutch - dark gray
Americans, Philippines and anything else - olive drab

ahh ok. I was wondering what they signified. Would be cool if they changed color depending upon certain status indicators - 'red' for overfatigued or less than 1/2 of the squadron ready, yellow for 30%, etc.

on ground forces could be red for under min supply and suffering disruption > 20%, yellow 10%, etc. Would love to see them utilize the colors to real advantage.
