While rifling through a freind's old games I discovered he had MoH: Pacific Assault, which I have never tried. Tried it today. Found it rather disappointing. [:(]

It wasn't too bad when it came out, but now it's very dated. My next FPS will be Modern Warfare 2.

Its not the "dated" part I mind. Its the "bots jumping out from behind bushes" in lieu of any tactical ideas. As I recall, the original MOH was much better at that, ie flanking etc. Granted, its a bit hard to simulate the realities of jungle fighting with they had at their disposal, but its a rather blah game.

I also tried to install CC3 for old times sake, but the install kept hanging up when it gets to the DirectX check. Not sure whats that about. [:@]

Tithe....my spouse had a nice surprise waiting for breakfast..Scotch eggs! [:D]

Believe it or not we have a Pub here that does them up quite nicely. I like them, but it is probably a good idea after eating to either take a cholesterol drug , go on a good 5 mile walk, or both.

I'll take that over the Cosco heat and serve buffalo wings and mozzarella sticks the local pubs seem to think is food. [&o]

Canceled because if it did snow, there would be lots of mud and stuck cars.[&:]

I do have to agree with you there. I like this particular place because they make all of their own food on the spot. Some is ok, some quite good. It is an eclectic blend of Southern comfortfood/Irish and Scottish pub food. The owner is quite a character. [:)]

Bangers and mash and a nice Bordeaux will do it....

Hi all,

Thanks mate, I like to have one up every year.
It is getting to that time of the year again. [8D]

Yes, last year's ceremony actually brought a tear to my eye, watching the last survivors placing their wreaths. Especially Henry Allington (iirc) who didn't want to have his placed by his two escorts. I was stuck in tool stores so I was watching the parade and service on TV.
I found the lone soldier trudging through the mud and shell holes to be quite poignant for some reason, and the Kohima epitaph is fitting. It's shorter than the usual verse from The Fallen.

Last episode of Blackadder always brings tears to my eyes...

Hi all,
ORIGINAL: Terminus

Leo, it's the Eagle Day full campaign, 79-turn scenario 1940. It's nice to get reacquainted with this old friend, even though my dastardly opponent fails to recognize my obvious superiority.[:'(]

Kristian, is it possible to bomb as Luftwaffe:

- RollsRoyce Merlin factory
- Spitfire factory
- Hurricane Factory

If yes can you do it accurately using KG100 "pathfinders" at night?

Does it have any effect on enmy (i.e. Bristish player)?
