Cruise Speed & Full Speed info for ships on task force

Post by fbs »

Set a TF on Full Speed, then open a ship - the ship will show on its info screen full speed = cruise speed = the ship actual full speed. This is of course incorrect, as the cruise speed of a ship does not change per the orders of the group it is attached.

Now set that TF to be on Cruise Speed, and open the ship screen again - once again the ship will show on its info screen full speed = cruise speed = the ship actual cruise speed. This is again incorrect.

Thanks,

This is correct and WAD.
It is the program's way of keeping track of the 2 speeds. If the TF is set to "full", there is no cruise. If the TF is set to "cruise", there is no full. If you want to see both, put the TF on mission speed.

I kinda expected that. You guys may want to consider changing the WAD for that at some future patch, as it doesn't sound logical. If my DD is on a convoy that is fixed on cruise speed of 10 kts, it is a bit unexpected to open that destroyer screen and find that its maximum speed is now 15 kts, which is not its real top speed nor is related to the convoy's cruise speed.

No biggies on that, it doesn't affect gameplay -- it just looks "unpolished".
