Fletcher, I am playing a PBEM GC game as Japan and following in your footsteps as its only up to Dec 25th so far. I have found your AAR to be a great source of inspiration. Really like the format. One point that interests me as you have made Port Moresby a cornerstone of your defensive ring - how do you propose to keep the base resupplied once Allied airpower grows strong? One imagines that convoys using both supply routes via DEI and round the tip of PNG would suffer interdiction by Allied bombers and losses could mount up?
Please keep up the great history of your campaign.
Best wishes,
Walker
Hello Walker84, and thank you very much for your kind comments.
I am preparing to defend from this first step of the war. I will fight 6 months or less with my offensives but I will must to defend for another 30 months, then I am thinking in the defense from now. At first, i will fortify PM as hard as possible (of course more than 25.000 tons of supplies there) with a Air HQ and several AA units, I have send the 2nd Air Division HQ from Machukuo (paying the PP) to Port Moresby, I wait for the next week and I will have about 40-50 Ki-43-IC Hayabusa in the next month with a coastal arty and defensive mines (more than 350 in my plannings).
To avoid a early air campaign over my southern ring you will se soon my plan
Thanks a lot for a second time for you comments
best wishes and good luck in your campaign (if any AAR please link if possible)
Fletcher.
P.S. Excuse me my english but it is not my native laguage.
