Okay. The fix will be in there.

And Nomad, even if you took out the gaps in the region numbers, you'd need to make sure the last region that was created had the highest ID...
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

Good, I think it will be better to have a better routine to deal with possible gaps. I found the easiest way to reorganize was to move bunches to high region numbers and then move small pieces back where I wanted. I still need to redo my list, it is not exactly like I want it to be.

WitPTracker AE Release 1.2

Post by floydg »

After a long 26 days, we have a new version available.

New Features:
[*]Ship and Ship History CSV exports added
[*]Ship damage items (major flotation, engine, major engine, repair mode and repair priority) added to Ship panel, Task Force panel, Ship History and Ship Repairs panel.
[*]Multi-turn read allows all pws files to be examined and the dialog window will show the timestamp for each file.
[*]LCU destination, distance marched, operations mode, and combat order shown in LCU panel and LCU history.
[*]Ship Conversions added to the Ship Upgrade panel
[*]Notes fields added in LCU and Air Groups panels
[*]Nation filter added in the Aircraft Comparison panel
[*]Industry panel: Report tab shows pilot training cost; Oil&Res tab and Supply&Fuel tab added surplus/days per base; a special "TF" region was added so it can be selected to show just task forces
[*]Database upgrade added for new features that needed it. For the other new items, you need to read in a new turn for the values to show properly (e.g., engine damage will show as 0 for all ships until you read in a new turn and the actual values can be read from the save file).
[*]Database loading time displayed when the program starts up. We're working on improvements to startup...

Bugs Fixed:
[*]Air Group HQ list shows all HQs with air groups assigned (and intermediate HQs as needed to show a proper hierarchy).
[*]Device usage fixed to count all LCU's use of devices (it was missing the count if it wasn't in the TOE)
[*]Region creation fixed to deal with gaps and ordering of imported region files
[*]LCU supply for convoys fixed to display the full amount
[*]Drop down in Industry report tab which shows turn numbers updates after turns are read in
[*]Sorting by destination in LCU panel had issues if an LCU was in Hyderabad, since the base name has a parenthesis in the name

As usual, the program can be gotten from here.

One important note: database files (trackerdb files) for release 1.1 are compatible with this new release. When you start the program for the first time, you will see an "Upgrading WitPTracker AE database." message and then the program should start up normally.
To use this release with a database from a release earlier than 1.1, you need to delete the old trackerdb files and start over.

We hope you enjoy it way more than 1.1 [;)]. As always suggestions, comments and bug reports welcome.

No, that does not look right.

Are you sure this was an upgrade from a database from version 1.1? The errors are for columns we added in Release 1.1... If so, I think your best bet now is to delete the trackerdb files and start over.

Hello Floyd,
Just updated and I receive these error messages.

I blew off the same way with the same error messages. Coincidence?

And you also have the solution, so today is your lucky day. Sort of...

Upgraded from 1.1.

Tracker starts normally, then when I try to read a new turn I get a pop up window with

"Error comparing APLoss(COMPAREAPL_UNEQUALSIZE)"

I am still using version 1.0 of tracker on my current game. Can I upgrade to 1.2 from 1.0 and continue my current game?, or do I need to upgrade to 1.1 first, and then 1.2?

Thanks for the great work.

Unfortunately, you can't upgrade the DB from 1.0 to 1.2. You will need to start afresh, delete all the trackerDB.* files. If you have old saves you can start from there and rebuild the information. Otherwise, from now on (1.2) when you upgrade we will allow you to keep the existing data ... sorry.

Not sure why you are getting this error, maybe make a new folder with the new version and try the two previous saves and let us know...

Guys,

Thanks very much for all your work. I cannot imagine playing AE would be nearly the wonderful experience it is without your Tracker program.

I did want to mention two things I ran into.

In the Industry Data Set, Supply & Fuel Tab, several of the columns do not sort down completely. Specifically the following:

Fuel +/-

The other columns will work if a sort attempt is not made on the above column.

If a sort attempt is made on the above column, then the columns on each side of the Fuel +/- column do not sort completely (Fuel Prod. & Shipping). Sounds crazy but it's true.

On the same tab, if you select a region in the upper section and then select the Resource History button below, the pop-up box shows information for a region other than the row selected. For instance, if the Korea Region is selected, when the Resource History buton is pushed it, the pop-up box shows the history for Japanese Is. Strangely, the Details/Factories button right next to the Resource History button work fine.

FYI the Oil&Res tab which is similar to the Supply & Fuel tab, seems to work fine in all respects. It is only the Supply & Fuel tab that seems to have the problems noted.

Thanks again for all your work.

Carl

Carl,
double oops I forgot to do a proper sort method on that ... I'll have to fix it for next release, thanks for the bug report.

Also I note the same error on supply/fuel you are finding with the histories ... damn! Works when you don't sort the Oil/Res Main display ... still, I should have tested some more before throwing it together ... next build will be fine.

Thanks again

Thanks for the very quick response.

Just FYI for anyone needing the history on supply and fuel. The history pop-ups on the Oil & Res Tab also includes the history for the supplies and fuel.

If you need an additional set of eyes to test things sometime just let me know.

Thanks,

Carl

I put it in a new folder and reloaded everything. Funnily enough everything works now. Thanks!
