The bomb that hit the AZ,was a modified battleship shell, droped from a kate.Did the Japanese use this weapon again in any other engagements?

No record of it.  It was a modified 14" shell converted to a makeshift 800kg SAP bomb as was carried by Kates operating from medium altitude around 9k to 12k feet because the IJN did not possess any kind of similar device in their arsenal.
Kates were occassionally used as medium-level bombers mainly on the Chinese mainland, however there their load consisted of 1 x 250kg HE bomb with also 4 x 60kg AP-bomblets carried under each wing - however this was only an improvised field modification and was never endorsed officially
