pearl air field not repairing

I'm at 12/20 in the campaign; playing against the AI. I've had 42/58 damage to the airfield service/runway since the intial raid. The AI only did raids for 1 day and then moved off to the wnw. My port repaired relatively quickly, but for some reason the airfield is not repairing. Am I missing something.

I don't have the field overloaded with # of aircraft. I do have all the original units, so there are alot of actual air units, but I still have enough air support for all of the aircraft present. Any ideas?

Did you move any of the LCU's with engineers or engineer vehicles out to another base?  Those are what you need to repair base damage and to expand bases.

Nope, the engr's are all still there.  The port repaired quickly, but for some reason the airfield service & runway are stuck.

I guess all I had to do was post the question.  After a couple more days I'm getting the runway damage repaired.

Think this has to do with the repair order that is followed by Engineering units ..... I've noticed its port first followed by runway, then airfield service then with no other damage remaining a continuation of fortifications.

I did try putting the engr units out of rest into combat mode.  I'm not sure that started the repair or if I just need to wait a while.  Anyway air operations will begin shortly, thanks.
