WitE, EDBtR, and from next Tuesday, Modern Warfare 2.

Hope you didn't plan on playing it multi. Did you see the yesterday's announcement? Gross...
There's not even gonna be lean in single player... Thanks IW.

Didn't see an announcement, no. Don't care about multi-player either; multi-player FPSs tend to be overrun with 12-year olds. No thanks.

I was very disappointed w/that game; perhaps I should have bought the Jutland version?

How do you like Jutland?

I love this game. It has the same level of detail and historical accuracy that makes WITP so great. All of that detail, and yet so playable. Imagine if WITP had a tactical naval combat routine like Jutland? I keep bothering Storm Eagle to consider using the game engine to develop their next effort "Iron Bottom Sound"

i'm very curious about AGEOD's World War One -- apparently coming out with a major 'gold edition' upgrade soon, which if it gets positive reviews, i'll have to pick up...

Living in the same town as french developper Philippe Thibault, i used to play the boardgame with him and some friends, before it was schedulded for computer. It was a great game.
Also used to play Europa Universalis (board game) with him. It was...hmmmmm, oh damn, it was 15 years ago [X(]

For me at the moment its

Jutland

Greetings
Rainer

Rainer,
How do you like Jutland?
I picked it up early in the year and played several of the scenarios. I have not tried playing online yet. I have been getting the itch to play it some more.

Sorry for the delay, I was on a businesstrip[>:]

Are you the Seydlitz from the Gamesquad-Forum?

Well, for me as a German WW1 is the only period where we had a fleet comparable to England (ok, more or less...) and I am fascinated by these old battleships. The only other game of this type is from 1992, "Dreadnoughts" made by Peter Turcan (Austerlitz anyone?).
At the moment I play the German campaign and reached June of 1916. So far I have sunk all the British Battlecruisers and about 10 Dreadnoughts together with an uncounted number of small vessels. The Channel is ruled by the German Hochseeflotte.
The game runs smooth on my Computer with all settings to the maximum and there are very few technical issues. The interface is not the best but if you are used to play Grigsby games[:D]...
Tactics: If you want to win, you better leave your destroyers and light cruisers at home and just stick with your battleships.
Try to pick a small portion of the Grand Fleet and try to sink or damage those ships. The stupid AI does not seem to repair much of the ships and losses due to ramming other ships are quite high.
Its a nice game and the battles are fun. If you have mastered WITP you probably can´t lose this game[;)]
One annoying point in the campaign ist the interception of merchants. The outcome is normally clear, but you always have to play it out some how.

Greetings

Rainer

I really hate that all the last naval surface sims have all been Real Time. A pain to try to manage the big battles and you miss most of the action. I tried the Jutland demo and that was my biggest impression. Without pausing the game every few seconds it was virtually impossible to keep track of all that was going on and you miss so much of the action. I wish someday someone would do one of these in turn format.

What do I do when I'm not playing AE?

I think about AE.

Not all the time, but alot of the time.  One of my favorite times is when I put down the book I've been reading, turn out the light, and lay my head on the pillow.  Sick, isn't it?

I also think about the game alot over lunch and while I'm out running or mountain biking or hiking.

Sad, isn't it?

But, oh, so fun!

World of Warcraft (just got into that, part of the reason I haven't been posting on here, aside from waiting for patch 2 to restart my Allied campaign) and a couple Total War games (Mideval II vanilla and Rome Europa Barbarorum mod)

Have a PS3 but lately haven't been into console games...spend 70 bucks and you can beat the game in a few hours? Kind of a rip off for me.

NHL 10 on the PS3 (and occasionally NCAA Football and Madden). Fallout 3 on the PC, and occasionally Football Manager 2010.

I used to be very addicted to EQ2, now I can't afford it, so I'm much better off.

When I'm not playing, I'm mostly chasing around my 2 year old son.

A few HPS Campaigns and Civil War games.
Medieval II-Stainless Steel Mod
Still play Combat Mission Afrika Korps.

For shooters nothing beats Red Orchestra-Darkest Hour. I love driving those tanks and switching out the barrel on my MG42.

And I still load up Diablo II to blow off some steam. One of the best games ever made.

You guys convinced me. I am going to order Jutland.

WITE when it comes out.

There's usually a mute button in those games, it's quite possibly their best feature. I run Team Fortress 2 with voice_enable 0 on so I don't have to listen to any of them.
