This is getting annoying

Post by rroberson »

I have run into this bug across most of my games. I will be running a turn and the game will suddenly lock up. No big deal. I will go rerun the turn and it will lock up again in the same exact place.

This has happened multiple times on both of my computers. The only solution I have found is to have my opponents change things in their turn and then the turn processes again without incident.

Am I the only one running into this?

So, what is the place where it locks up? You could attach a save if you would like but we usually find that we can not reproduce it - the issue is caused by some setting on your computer.

It's random. Sometimes it happens at the beginning of the turn process sometimes in the middle or the end. The next time it happens I will be sure to send you guys a saved turn. If its something that is a setting on my PC, then its both PCs as I play on two very different ones. One is a vista gaming machine tons of ram etc. The other is an underpowered netbook that is slow for turn running but does the job.

helps to give more details overall of when/how. Turn save is a must, zipped and placed here.

Also, can you confirm what version you are playing?

During combat replay I have seen erratic behavior caused if the affinity has not been set for a multi-core system. If you are using the multi-core flag you can check the affinity settings by checking the process under task manager. Hope this helps.

I will take a look at this, but the netbook isn't multicored...maybe the big machine though....thanks!
