CV Trained

Post by P.Hausser »

Will a CV Capeble group obtain CV Trained status if only doing Navel Search and ASW missions from a CV, or does it have to be Navel Attack or other types of Missions as well ?

CV capable will never be CV trained...

I actually think that's changed. There have been some posts showing LBA gaining carrier trained status.

Yup, definitely changed.  Someone posted a screenshot.  The carrier capable unit was training on a carrier.  Not sure of the type of training though.

I believe it was just operating off of the carrier. After a time, it got enough experience to become carrier trained.

They can and will become carrier capable.

All it takes is time.[;)]
No other special requirements are needed.

Base them on a CV/L/E, set them on normal missions, and they will upgrade.

Do they have to be in port/at anchor?  I would have thought taking an untrained carrier air unit to sea might have a high attrition rate...
