Changin the music themes

Post by Rising-Sun »

Hi guys have anyone ever tried to change the music/theme tracks? If not i have manage to do it, playing long and hard kinda get boring listen to samn thing over and over. So i manage to do some testing and figured out how to do it. So wasnt sure if i have the right to post it or how i did it, so dont want any troubles here.

Most players simply turn off the music ingame and having either stero equipments nearby play there own or using Media Player in the background. Running those softwares in the background, regardless how good your pc is multi-core w/e could lead some problems. I have seen these conflicts on serveral games.

Im only doing this for my parts to listen Japanese Themes, i know some of you flyboys on the American side would like to listen to betty bop or bombshell musics.

Here first music pak for Japanese...
Download Themes.zip from FileWire Networks.

Umi Yukaba (mp3) of course: If I go away to sea.
I shall return a corpse awash;
If duty calls me to the mountain,
A verdant sward will be my pall;
Thus for the sake of the Emperor
I will not die peacefully at home.

Hi RisingSun

I do, right now im working on OM Meditation then some workup on the beats. Just want something like relaxing. I do have other tracks from many games and some of them are really good, not good ideas to share those ideas/works (they dont like it). In most cases i do it anyway as long you keep it to yourself.

Not easy to find good descent themes for Japanese, been looking for them for years.

I guess i can post some samples in here...

I've posted the instructions before.  Just replace the right SFX files with your own files renamed and you're good to go.  The game engine will play at least three formats, MP3 and WAV are two of them, I think the third is Windows Media File.  The SFX extension isn't any special format.

Cool, didnt think anyone would be able to crack it. So i been using WaveStudio for recording then save it .wma at cd quailty and then use file sorter to change the format -> .sfx fairly easy. Dont like those .wav they take up alot of spaces and mp3/wma are most popular.

I wrote the code to handle the Orphan Ann messages.  I learned a lot about the audio in the game doing it.
