Maneuverability is effectiveness in dogfights (fighter vs. fighter)
Cannon is Firepower, which is especially important when intercepting bombers
The higher the durability, the higher the chance the plane will be damaged instead of destroyed
Endurance is range - how many hexes a plane can fly from its HQ (each way)

Of course the experience rating is important to air combat effectiveness too.

Watch out if you try to fiddle around with your airplane factories and production. Most players end up with hordes of FW- 190A which of course is far superior to any allied fighter around until 1944, but timing may become important since the FW are expensive AC. So if you are low on fighter planes, do not switch all of your AC factories to FW too early and alltogether, keep up at least a decent amount of eg Bf109 production until your FW factories can take over. Do not forget that switching AC production keeps your AC factories iddle for 4 weeks, in case your production is set to human control (set to computer control by default). In addition, when changing squadrons to a different AC, pilot experience usually drops considerably, which will further delay proper use of your newly equipped squadrons.
