Fast Transport problems

I can't seem to create a Fast Transport TF that is capable of transporting anything.

Every time I create a fast transport TF the options for loading everything from supplies to troops is greyed out.

I tried it at multiple portts using many different types of ships and still not one that is allowed to transport anything.

Are there some special restrictions on FT TFs that I overlooked somehwere?

If you're playing Allies, you're SOL.

If the ship has no capacity you can't fast transport. Most (all?) Allied warships that aren't APDs have a capacity of 0, so you're just SOL.

Japan, on the other hand, has plenty of warships with a capacity rating, so does not have this problem.

I do think this unfairly screws the Allies - USN ships were generally relatively big and roomy, no? If there's room for an icecream machine, there's room for a few crates of beans as well. But thats how it is.

Don't quite know whether to be pissed off or just frustrated.

Soooo, I can squeeze those cans of beans into sardine cans called submarines, but I CAN'T stack them on the open decks of a destroyer.........go figure!

I guess the JFBs had control over that item during the redesign.

It is very annoying, fast transport is an important capability.

It does mean that your conversion option for Clemson class DDs is a no-brainer - turn em all into APDs. ASW rating 6 is fine (the DE conversion has 8, but 6 is plenty good) and that is the only asset you got in the whole game, far as I can tell, which can fast transport.

There are quite a few Clemsons out there, so with some conversions you can field quite a few APDs at least.

ally avs should able to carry troops in fast transport. i not play ally so not know in game. i see picture of av wright load troops for wake while pearl harbor burn in background. december 13 maybe? check in game and see.

I tried DDs, DMSs and AMs. I did not try AVs. Will see if they have any "capacity".

No, the Allied AV's can't carry troops.  There are a couple of them at Pearl and they don't load anything, in fact.

The inability for an AV to load supplies was an oversight that should be fixed in the upcoming patch, if I'm not mistaken.
