release by Thanksgiving?

Armada 2526 continues the great tradition of space opera games. You guide your race from its first interstellar journeys, until it becomes a mighty galactic empire. Along the way, you'll explore the galaxy, conduct research, diplomacy and trade, found new colonies, maneuver mighty star fleets, and fight epic battles.

My concern is server overload if the game is released on November 24, which I hope it is.  Perhaps Matrix could provide us with some reassurance on the matter, like a promise not to release a WITP-AE update for a few days after the A2526 release.  Which would create even more howls of protest from those fans.

Um.... AFAIK, WITP:AE has been released for months. Or do you mean something else?

I've never had a problem with server overload here at Matrix. I'm sure it HAS happened, but it must be pretty rare.

Wow, how many hours did that take? I figure, with the amount of time I get to play without my kids around since I think this wouldn't be appropriate for 8 year olds to watch, it will take me 6 months to get through DAO.

Took 60+ hours, when you sit at home on call 24/7, you have plenty of time to play games. [:D] Yeah, I'm bad about getting involved in a game, but I can start playing at lunch and go to bed time, so I can really cut through a game.

And no, definitely not appropriate for an 8 year old...
