I´ve met the guys at GenCon and we chatted a bit, the games sound really interesting. I know that my boss here has played the "Airborne" one (same engine so to say) and really liked it.

I havn´t played it but I´m considering purchase too ;)

I have caressed loving the Panzer Grenadier box a few times (hey don't you look at me that way:) , I have seen the way guys talk about Combat Mission and it can be disgusting too eh).

Just haven't had the cash to jump in before. Nice to see it is alive and well and not just one of those hmmm flash in the pan appearances on a shelf.

Wonder though, how many guys have asked thus far, what system it will run on heheh.

Hello

I own a copy of PanzerGrenadier by Avalanche. It's a Great wargame. There's a lot of tactical feeling and some innovative ideas. Good Leadership rules... Well, one thing I don't like: maps are too much darkish...

To me itbrings the PanzerBlitz/Panzer Leader scale up to the current generation. THe game concepts are elegant and make a very fun game,but...

The rules are not at all clear in communicating those concepts and the mapboards are almost painful to use - with the wonderful counters on the horrid color choices on the boards.

I have both PG and Heroes of the Soviet union and consider the $100 Bucks well spent, but had put a lot of my own "spin" on the rules and spent a lot of time reading up on what the designers meant but the rules didn't exactly say.

Airborne game is supposed to have a reorganized and revised manual I think.

If the money is tight, there are better games out there (The Gamers Tactical combat series) but significantly more complicated to play. If you are a collector or East Front fanatic, then its a decent buy.

The Panzer Grenadier series is on my list of games to purchase. I currently play SOPAC WWII at sea. I really enjoy the game a great deal. The rules for this game are fairly straight forward, but whenever I had a question about a rule or component, I would email them and their response was very quick.
