One scenario?!

Armada 2526 continues the great tradition of space opera games. You guide your race from its first interstellar journeys, until it becomes a mighty galactic empire. Along the way, you'll explore the galaxy, conduct research, diplomacy and trade, found new colonies, maneuver mighty star fleets, and fight epic battles.

One scenario?!

Post by LarryP »

OK, I bought the game. Now my question is are there really only two scenarios, one being a tutorial and the other a 12 tribe something? That's really one scenario. Or does that one once completed, open up more scenarios?

The custom scenario creator has a few options to choose from. I just found out that changing my race gives different options. There are a few things that would be nice to have more control over though.

Maybe I'm missing some things, and if I am then please enlighten me. [&o]

Those are the only scenarios, right. And then there's random maps. You can create your own scenarios too. And no, you don't *have* to [;)]

Hey Larry,

Take a look at the campaign XML file to get an idea what you can change there. Create a new map with the map designer, customize all the planets as you like (making note of the names of the stars where players will start). Copy new map from mydocuments/mygames/armada... directory to maps folder in main Armada directory. Then give each player a home in the XML, etc. But you probably know all this already...

No I didn't know any of what you described. I have only been inside the game and not inside the files. So far that is. [;)] I haven't gotten that far yet.

So have you been tricking out your scenarios? Let us know what you have been playing and how you did it, if you will.
