Beta Crashing

Hi
I have the Public Beta installed and twice now in the same turn it has crashed. Right around the middle of the ground combat phase. I'm playing the Grand Campaign in the late Oct 42 time frame. I have a Pentium 4 running Windows XP Home. I'll try again now and if it does it again I'll try and spot exactly what's happening when it does.

Okay I tried again. It happens right at the UPGRADING SHIPS part of the turn. This is the third time so I guess I'm toast for continuing to play. Can I save the Scenario on a separate hard drive, reload AE, upgrade it to the last Patch and put the scenario back in the file or as it has been modified to the Beta Patch will it not play in the Pre-Beta format? Thanks
