BoA, or BoA2:WiA?

Birth of America 2: Wars in America is the much expanded reprise of veteran developer AGEOD’s acclaimed first release, which allows players to command either side of the conflicts before, during and after the American War for Independence between 1636 and 1815. Apart from the engaging turn-based strategy play that has been expanded and vastly improved over the original, Birth of America 2: Wars in America includes major new features like an improved and expanded map including the Mississippi River, new European off-map boxes (France, Great Britain, Spain, Holland) and more.

BoA, or BoA2:WiA?

Post by decaro »

I have and have enjoyed BoA, but I noticed WiA is on the Matrix discount list for Christmas.

Is BoA2:WiA worth the investment if you already own BoA?

For example, in WiA, do the Brits in Mass often leave NE and head south by sea when surrounded in Boston at the beginning of the game?

This was the case historicaly, and often happens in BoA; I would be disappointed if it didn''t happen in BoA2.

Hi!

I think it's definitely worth the investment. If you liked BoA (the game system, the era) you will surely enjoy WIA as it's a much improved version of it and also adds a a lot of new scenarios (1812 long campaign and scenarios and several more for indian wars).
The Boston siege representation is completely revamped (new map regions, supply situation, events that help the brit AI do historical evacuation...) [:)]
Cheers
