Operation DA Chi 129 continues with the assault on the HQ unit by ARVN Rangers and Units from ARVN 21 Div,The HQ unit fights off the attack for now evaping the ARVN 2/33 of the 21 Div

ARVN Airbourne units continue to attack the village of Vinh Thang wicth has an unidentified VC units dug in,83% cassualties are inflicted but they hold on for now

Turn 5 Reinforcements arrive 4 new CIDG camps are set up with no enemy in sight and another Marine unit the BLT 2/3 arrives at DaNang 2 coy are sent to Phu Bai to defend the airfield

Turn 5 US III MAF ordered to move into bandit country and engage the enemy.The ARVN forces at Dai Loc are reinforced with 3 coy's of US Marines from III MEF, Arty and a Marine air wing at Da Nang(VMFA-531) provide support

Dai Loc is captured and the VC unit is destroyed however a Coy of US Marines is evaped in the process,In the U Minh forest ARVN units again attack the HQ unit and inflict 25% cassualties on it

Turn 6 III MEF spots a VC unit in the village of Thang Duc airstrikes are called in as Marine and ARVN units move in
The attack failed to dislodge the VC unit but 50% losses were inflicted
In the U Minh forest ARVN units again attack the HQ unit and discover that a VC Guerilla unit is also there i hope to destroy both next turn

Turn 6 NorthWest of Saigon an ARVN Armd Battalion runs into a VC special forces unit Arty and ARVN Airbourne troops are brought forward to deal with this threat to Saigon.
The subsequent assault by ARVN units forced the VC to retreat into the jungle after suffering 40% losses.
Also in turn 6 ARVN Airbourne units attacking Vinh Thang evap the VC unit there and capture the village.

Hey Boonie a quick question after starting operation Da Chi 129 ive had no VP awarded what is the criteria for this destroying the VC HQ?,i havent used all the forces in the briefing one was in reorg.

Did you actually destroy that HQ? by the screenshot you've posted you've not conducted the operation exactly where it was supposed to happen

Ah got you 10km from Kien Long,the U minh forest must be 30km away,The HQ unit is still there im gonna have to pull 21st Div out ready for turn 8,thanks for promp reply very enjoyable game i just need to get more familiar with the map[&:]

North of Saigon ARVN Marines and Airbourne surround 2 VC Platoons at Phu Hoa airstrikes by A1 Skyraider and US Canberra's are called in before the attack commences

Turn 8 Seven new CIDG camps are opened with no enemy interferance.
Operation TIEN GIANG/19/65 starts this combined Amphibious and Airmobile operation will be carried out by the VNMC 1st and 3rd Battalions and 2 Ranger battalions will provide a blocking force .
The operation gets underway as the 1st Marines land south of Tien Ton and encounter a hidden VC unit,the 3rd Battalion is following up and the Rangers are on there way,Airstrikes are called in form the carriers at Dixie station

Operation TIEN GIANG/19/65 the assault goes in,Airstrikes from US carrier aircraft have inflicted heavy losses on the VC unit,Two Ranger Battalions the 52nd and the 30th take up blocking positions as the 1st and 3rd Marines attack

I am enjoying your AAR, thanks for doing it. I don't own the game yet. I'm having trouble following some of the details. I don't see Tien Ton on the map. I assume it is under the RF counter. I also don't see the hidden VC unit. Maybe it's hidden, lol. Could you help me understand?

I'm with junk2drive....I really love your AAR....brings back memories. But it's sometimes difficult to know where the enemy is and where on the map we are. May I humbly suggest some supporting graphics to help with that. Like the picture below. Keep up the good work.
