October 16, 1940 : Very, very slow movement across Russia, and the Red Army is fighting back successfully on all fronts, causing problems for the Italians and Finns, and even the Germans. It looks to be a hard winter.

November 1, 1940 : No question about winter now. This is the front in the East as we approach the really bad weather.

December 9, 1940 : The dispatch for December 1, 1940 was lost in flight. Here is two weeks progress near Moscow.

December 16, 1940 : Disaster for the Soviets. In a war with many disasters, this is the back breaker.

If there is any interest in the continuation of this AAR please let me know. I think the USSR is down for the count.

I did turn this around and played as the Allies from just before Sea Lion. It was fun bringing Great Britain back from the dead, building the Royal Navy back into a powerful force. The AI greatly facilitated this by keeping the Axis fleets as "Raiders" rather than seeing the huge threat the RN regular fleet became.

You've got this one in the bag, I think. It's just an exercise in logistics from this point on. A human player might bounce back from this, but the AI? No way.
