Air squadron leader selection screen

When selecting a new Air Squadron Leader, some of (a few) of them has a * next to their rank in the Leader Pool / leader selection screen,
I.E. MAJ* or CAPT* what does the * mean ?

I can comfirm that they All (all with *) were in the US Army Pilot Fighter Reserve... so not in any other Unit either..

Any Dev. mabye who can explain what it means ?

I think it indicates that the leader must travel in order to join the unit. There will be an * and a delay of one or more days for them to arrive at the unit. I have seen the day delay as high as 180 days for leaders to get to Aden. If this isn't what it is would somebody please correct me?

Why am I sharing my opinion? Because I am such a special snowflake that others need my knowledge. What…there are like a billion snowflakes? Oh, well isn't that special.

AFAIK, the * means that the leader is also a pilot.
 
 
As a side note, while checking through my air units, I found the following leader in command of the 11th BG/26th BS:

His stats seem rather low, guess he doesn't have a lot of pull with the devs![:D]
