Tutorial #9 - Cave Busting

Post by wavefront »

I'm looking for the missing instructions for the last tutorial (Tutorial #9 - Cave Busting).
The designer is Bob Wallace (from MatrixGames).
It's kind of a large setup for a tutorial, and I need a little help.
I tried a search for "cave busting" but, I didn't find anthing like instructions.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

It's supposed to be in the Manual, but I couldn't find it. Try the Tactics Guide.
Retreat is NOT an option.

Actually, caves are not that formidable if you can hit them from the front. I have destroyed them with rifle fire.

The hardest part is getting to the front to kill 'em.

I use mortars followed by suppressive fire. Then armor if I have it or direct assault from the front. 60mm work fine.

The over-used smoke works well.
Engineers are nice if available.

It was accidently left out of the manual when it went final. All the tutorials used to be posted on the web at the 28th NW Battalion HQ site in the SPWAW section but sometime in the past year the SPWAW section was totally removed from the site.
