Strength Transfer

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

Strength Transfer

Post by 06 Maestro »

Hey Chaps

I cannot transfer strength from one unit to another. I was able to do it in the past, but recently I'm just going around in circles. The horizontal green bar will not show.

I have read that section in the manual, to no good effect. It says to left click on the unit info box and then the command box of the other unit. All that happens is that the other unit is highlighted. Maybe my game is broken.

Perhaps someone can enlighten me a bit. Perhaps a picture of the command box? [&:]

HiHi

There is a Screenshot sequence somewhere on site, kindly put up by Hard Sarge, so maybe if you try using the in house 'Search' engine you can turn it up, Good Luck, fraid never used it myself so I can't help more.

Never found HS's example, but I finally got it straight.

In the Military page you select the unit you want to take strength from then click on one of the little men on the right side of the info box of the unit you want to add to. The Green bar will appear at that point.

Simple, but damn...I don't recall seeing any mention of clicking on one of the men icons-only the info box.

I should have mentioned that both units need to be in the same province.

Yeah, it's a little non-intuitive. But, I do it a lot less than I did with COG.

Hi, got a problem. In 1792 scenario i transfer strength from swiss guards units to center army, for example, disbanding after those units (swiss guards) and before the turn ends all seems done correctly, but in the new turn center army units come back to their old strength + the pitty thing that i dont have any swiss guard units, logical if i did transfer all their strength to center army. Any idea of what is happening??

By the way, love the game.

Strength will only transfer between like units; INf to INf and so on. Although I have not tried your exact example, I suspect it is governed by the same rules. The Swiss Guard is not French infantry and therefore cannot be transfered. Speculation on my part, but reasonably safe.
