Industry button not appearing...

Post by Iridium »

I've completely reinstalled WitP: AE and then proceeded to start a new game to get at all of the new functions etc. Oddly enough, new games for me do not have the industry button at turn 1 but if I update an old game it'll be fine...

Any ideas?
Yamato, IMO the best looking Battleship.

Look on the top toolbar, as Industry now has it's own global page.

Yeah, that doesn't exist in the new games...Now even old games don't have it anymore. Very strange behavior.[&:]

Make sure your shortcut is pointing to the correct .exe file. I had the same problem you're seeing after I installed the beta patch. Found out that my desktop shortcut was pointing to the pre-patch .exe file. The program would open and look to be running OK, but a lot of the new stuff wasn't there (industry button, airgroup additions, etc.).

This. I found there are 3 different .exe's in the folder and I had 3 different shortcuts going to all three in an odd cluster@$@*. Since all three shortcuts were of the same name etc I didn't notice except some did not have (-w -cpu2 -deepColor –multiaudio) added to the exe.
