Two minor questions

Post by bacchus »

Nothing important but does anyone know

1. What is the meaning in the different colors on the Pilot skill pages. There are some of the numbers in orange and green. I know that has to do with increase skills due to experiance and training but not specifically the color meanings.

2. What does the service rating of an aircraft mean on the aircraft data page. Is the higher the number, the more maitainance intensive a bird is, or does it have other meaning?

Thanks in advance for any answers. These are trivial questions but have been driving me crazy.

Green means it has increased in the last week, orange in the last month

The higher the service rating the easier to maintain

1) Green numbers are skill levels that increased in the last turn.  Orange ones increased in the last month (or maybe last week).

2) I think that's the case.

And I thought a lower number meant it was easier to maintain ... [;)]

rating 0:="invalid";
rating 1:= "1-10 days";
rating 2:= "5-15 days";
rating 3:= "10-20 days";
rating 4:= "15-25 days";
rating 5:= "20-30 days";

I believe the lower the number the easier to maintain.  P-40's are a 1 while the B-17 is a 4.

I'm unsure if green in the pilots page is the last week or a point gained in the last day.  with orange the last month or week.

Yep, higher numbers are bad.

I've always read green as skill point increased in the last turn, orange as skill point increased in the last calender month, check your pilots on the 1st of the month, you'll see white everywhere.

Lower numbers of maint good, higher numbers baaaaaad. Dutch Catalinas are in the air more often than the Dorniers.
