Gifu & Maebashi-

Post by hellraiser6502 »

Hey all, been lurking for a long time and a question finally prompted me to post.

Probably a REALLY dumb question but damned if I can figure it out ...

Just HOW do you get additional supplies/fuel to Gifu & Maebashi?? I've been air transporting them in but can't get near enough to get them to produce aircraft & engines or repair.

Any help is appreciated.

LOVE THIS GAME Btw! [&o] Been waiting for a game like this since my Avalon Hill War in the Pacific days as a teenager.

Hey, first post! Congratulations!

We've got a nice group here, so don't be afraid to ask for help on the forums. It's a good place to learn.

On your base screen, by the supply figures (left hand column), you'll see some arrows to the left and / or right of your base supply requested number. By clicking the arrow closest to the number, you'll raise the amount of supply requested by 1000 tons. By clicking the arrow furthest away from the number, you'll increase this in a larger increment.

Hope this helps!

By the way in patch 2 this button is BUGGED. Instead of adding 1000 supply points it adds 10 000 supply points, so when you click for example 3500+ the base will have around 35 000 next turn.

It is not bugged. You are adding 1000 supply points to your requirment. You get two types of supply draws 1x and 10x based on your supply requirement.

Welcome Aboard hellraiser6502!

I lurked for a while too just to make sure I knew that these guys knew what they were talkin about.[:D]

I played War In The Pacific as a kid as well and have always been looking for a game like this. I still have that board game as well as MIDWAY and the Coral Sea variant.

Anyways, glad you joined the forum!

Thanks for the the assistance guys.

I'm 44 years old and for the longest time, I thought I was the only one who was obsessed with WWII and every detail I could soak up, from German Tanks right down to individual uniform buttons!! Cool to see I'm not alone.

...and Tomlabel...I think we both got it wrong it was Victory in the Pacific and also the Atlantic version War at Sea lots of great memories with those games.

But THIS GAME is nearing perfection in detail & scope....more than I ever dreamed was possible.

Thanks to all who have labored to get it there! [&o]

Yup Avalon Hill Victory in the Pacific.....

Don't make me get my ship and damage counters out. Gosh I loved those board games. It was the War at Sea that got me hooked oh so many moons ago.

I still have them both. I used to have Luftwaffe and Midway as well....played those to death as well.

Welcome to the club Hellraiser! Enjoy

Youngster. [;)]

It was about 50 years ago that I first played Tactics, the pappa to Tactics II, both by AH. (I think it was as early as 1959, but it may have been '60 or '61. Who the hell can remember that far back?) The pieces were round, not square, and the board was a fibrous cardboard that was real ugly. Ah, the fun we had.

Agreed.....near perfection. Perfection will be when each soldier is individually named and given skills - from rifle firing to grenade throwing to hiding in a hole with an aircraft bomb and a mallet.
