Port Stanly questions.

Post by hbrsvl »

Hi-v1095. I'm confused. If I look at an atlas, I believe Port Stanly is in the Falkland Is. in the Atlantic.

It would seem, however, in AE, it is in the Pacific. So, my questions.

1. For AE purposes, is it Atlantic or Pacific?
2. As Allies, do I have to run supplies & fuel into Port Stanly?
3. If I Run a xAK into PS and there is minimal fuel( if any) how do I get my ship back to WCUS? My question is, if I start the xAK back to San Diego and she runs out of fuel in the off map transit, what happens to her?

Thanks, Hugh Browne

Port Stanley is offmap and is in the Atlantic.  There are occasional convoys scheduled to drop supplies there.  It isn't enough you want to go pick them up, but it keeps the unit there alive.  It is included so the Allied player can run task forces around the southern end of South America if they want.  It's biggest use would be as a way point between Cape Town and the Pacific if you were moving ships that way.

Bill-Thanks for your reply. My concern is this-it's now 5/6/42 and PS has 19 supply on hand, with 290 needed. My xAK is 23 days away. Looks like I'm going to loose a unit to attrition.

Again, thanks. Hugh

Check the auto convoy schedule.  One arrives just in time to keep the supplies at a good level in my games.
Occasionally, and randomly, problems and solutions collide. The probability of these collisions is inversely related to the number of committees working on the solutions. -- Me.
